FILM SUBMISSION DETAILS

All materials must arrive at our office by April 1 in order to qualify for showcase. The film representative will be contacted in regards to your entry status as soon as we receive your package.

All submissions must be accompanied by an information sheet (or the OFFICIAL APPLICATION) complete.

DVD submissions preferable to facilitate handling.

All films must be:

1. In Portuguese (preferably with English subtitles);
2. Or, in English or French (with Portuguese talent or produced/directed by an individual of Portuguese or Luso-descendency);
3. No XXX films accepted.
4. There are no submission entry fees and you may submit more then one work. Films are submitted at your (artist/producer) expense; The Festival is not responsible for loss or damage of your package; Material submitted will not be returned unless you arrange all details.

The festival creates an official program with information provided by the artist/producer, showcases the films in the city of Vancouver and promotes the events to a Canadian audience including other film festivals, television-buyers and film house presenters.

All films submitted must be available for viewing with the following equipment:

• 16mm Film Projector
• 35mm Film Projectors (Mono, Dolby A, or Dolby SR)
• VHS: Multistandard World Wide VCR (supports NTSC, PAL & SECAM)
• DV Cam / Mini DV / DVC Pro
• Beta (NTSC and PAL): Betacam, Betacam SP, Betacam SX, MPEG IMX, and DigiBeta
• DVD. Note we cannot play VCD's
• 3/4" U-Matic
• The video system plays tapes with Mono, Dolby, or Dolby SR soundtracks.
